Documentary wedding photography, is it for you?
Yes - Feel free to keep scrolling
Not sure - Keep scrolling anyway you may change your mind.
Why choose documentary wedding photography?
It’s Unposed
If like me you love natural, unposed, relaxed images that give you a more true to life view of your wedding day then it is perfect for you.
If you love the documentary approach but would also like a few posed shots then keep on scrolling.
Real Emotion
I love to capture true emotion, real feelings and passion. It might be holding your new wife or husband’s hand, a cheeky snog whilst no one is looking or it could even be the tear rolling down someone’s cheek (probably your husband’s).
That’s what I believe tells the untold story that unwinds on your wedding day that you may miss.
Feel comfortable
Are you a little bit camera shy?
Do you get flustered easy when you realise your photo is being taken?
Fear not.
Documentary wedding photography is perfect for those of us who get a little lens shy.
Candid Shots
Most of my shots will be candid, meaning people won’t realise the shot has been taken. This is perfect for those cheeky kids messing round on the floor shots or your Grandma doing the mother of all belly laughs.
Love, laughter, and late night antics.
As well as capturing all the lovely pre-ceremony stuff like bride prep and your husband or wife looking very nervous at the alter, I also like to stay well into the evening for those late night dance offs, or to capture your Uncle Bob doing his best to stand up after his 10th pint.
Natural Posing
Now… I get asked a lot when taking bookings if I do any posed shots at all; family, groups, bride and groom?
The answer is YES of course, I’m not about to say no to a FEW naturally posed shots, or well lit kissing portrait stuff. BUT I do like to keep it short and sweet and as less formal as possible.
